Medstar Health Mobile App
To further improve the MedStar patient experience, the digital team
set out to create a MedStar Health app. This app would be designed
for both patient and physician use. The team would start with a
patient dashboard and integrate physician options upon successful
patient testing and added funding.
To begin, we created a list of needs and rough sketches to
illustrate desired and required elements of the app. These elements
included; the ability to function without internet connection, an
advanced chatbot that could triage patients and connect them with
nurses as needed, and other more standard elements including RX
refills and secure messaging.

Taking our list of requirements, digital reviewed and compared platforms that could be easily integrated and customized to match our list. Once an already developed and tested platform had been found; user flows, wireframes, and prototypes we designed to tie the two together. A series of dashboards were tested internally and one was chosen to move forward.
From there a design system was developed, and an interface was created.
